May 18,  · When the sympathetic and patient Holdsworth listener has experienced a few of the hills and valleys of life, said listener may finally realize what a masterpiece Wardenclyffe Tower is. Thankfully, this is not a “guitarist’s guitarist” album as much as it is a human album/5(14).

Excellent and underrated album from one of the greatest axemen of all time, 'Wardenclyffe Tower' continues Allan Holdsworth's never-ending quest for undefinable music without being too experimental and features superb, muti-rhythmic patterns and layers of atmosphere. '5 to 10', 'Sphere of Innocence' and 'Dodgy Boat' all cook but the winner is 'Questions', an angular and melodic feast for the /5.
  6. Babar says:
The Wardenclyffe album is mostly Holdsworth-penned. The exceptions are Steve Hunt's very enjoyable "Dodgy Boat" and Chad Wackerman's less developed "Questions." You get to sample three drum giants - Wackerman plays four of the tunes, Gary Husband gets two tunes, and an unleashed Vinnie Colaiuta even gets a solo spot on "Against the Clock.".

  8. Meztilkis says:
Sphere of innocence: Once again a sequence of beautiful chords, that only Holdsworth produces. Wardenclyffe Tower: A slightly heavier beat, and the strongest "melody". Dodgy Boat: Top guitar and bass solo. Zarabeth: Same beat, same type of chordal lines. Against the clock: One of the few recordings by Alan Holdsworth with vocal (by Naomi Star)/5(17).
