"Killing an Arab" is the first single by The Cure. It was recorded at the same time as their first LP in the UK, Three Imaginary Boys (), but not included on the album. However, it was included on the band's first US album, Boys Don't Cry (). This song lends two of its lines to the titles of one of The Cure's compilation albums, Standing on a Beach, and to its CD/video counterpart Genre: Post-punk.

The Cure agreed to sign with Fiction, and recorded new versions of "Killing An Arab" and " Saturday Night," which were released as a double A-side single, which was first distributed by the independent label Small Wonder and then issued on Fiction. Thus began a long and fruitful collaboration between Fiction Records and The Cure.

The blade the Arab is holding is reflecting the sun onto his face and that's all it took. The whole it amounts to the same part has to do with the philosophy on the absurd, which Albert Camus is trying to show in this book. "I'm alive I'm dead I'm the stranger Killing an Arab" This is exactly how it is. He’s alive, but now that he killed the.
