Will Haven have a distinctive guitar sound that no one else i can think of has. Starting off the album pretty slow and dark with "S.H.R", the first time you listen to it you aren't expecting the kick in the face "Saga" throws at you. From there, one of the best tracks on here by far, "Carpe Diem /5(20).

Carpe Diem for me is different to the previous albums - the trademark screams and flange-drenched guitars are still there but there is a real emphasis on the stacato single string riffs. Whereas El Diablo was a relentless face melter of a record Carpe Diem has a much more WEIRDER vibe/5(15).

This, Carpe Diem's first album, dates from the mid's although the band had been around for some years prior to its release. The music of the band is probably best compared to Camel, although overall the sound is a bit harder and jazzier.
